Speaking of favorite blogs, the lovely Jane Aldridge, founder of the famous and fantastical seaofshoes.com, is working on a charity project for palliative care at Cook Children's Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas.
Jane and her mother were inspired by an interior design article in Australian Vogue featuring a sofa with canvas fabric decorated by children. Deciding that this had fund-raising potential, they picked a chair, brought it to the hospital and spent a day with the children, decorating it to their hearts content. The chair will be auctioned off at a gala, with proceeds going to the palliative care program.
This is the first time I've seen anything of this sort on a fashion blog, and it was heartwarming, refreshing and inspiring all at once. Jane Aldridge, you rock.
